Who is not a good candidate for permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup procedures cannot be preformed on individuals experiencing any of the following:
- Under the age of 18
- Pregnant or nursing
- Have diabetes
- Allergic to pigment or makeup
- Taking blood thinning medications
- Have skin diseases (e.g. eczema, psoriasis, rashes, blisters)
- Have transmittable blood conditions (e.g. HIV, Hepatitis)
- Have cancer or undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
- Taking accutane, antibiotics, iron supplements, more than 3 medications daily
- Open wounds on the treated area(s)
- Using retinol/AHA products (must stop 2 weeks prior and 4 weeks after PMU appointment)
- History of keloid scarring
- Have vitiligo
